Board Breaking — Kyuk-Pa

Three-station traditional board breaking. You choose the techniques and the number of boards — then you get one minute to set up and one minute to break.

Draft — carried over from the 2025 packet, pending confirmation for 2026 All divisions are subject to change.

The limits

Everything within these bounds is your choice — which techniques, how many boards, how you arrange the stations.

1–3

1 min
maximum set-up time
1 min

How it runs

1Set up your stations — you have one minute.
2Perform your break — up to three stations, one minute to complete.
3You get a second attempt if the first doesn't go your way. Two tries maximum.
Stay inside the ring The whole performance must take place within the regulation ring size.

Boards & equipment

This is the part competitors most often get wrong. Read it twice.

Pine boards only

No bricks, no cinder blocks, no fruit, nothing else. Pine boards and only pine boards.

Bring your own boards and holders

Competitors provide both. Holders are your responsibility too — arrange them in advance, not while your set-up minute is running.

Boards are sold at the venue

Available for purchase on site if you need them — but don't plan around it.

Divisions

Open to all ages and all ranks.
