1 Competitor

Age on event day:

Used to seed your weight division.

Enter your weight honestly Only World Class Black Belt sparring (ages 12–32) weighs in on event day. Every other division is seeded from the weight you enter here. Competitors who cannot make the division they registered for will be disqualified rather than moved, and falsifying weight risks disqualification.

2 Rank & dojang

Your rank determines which poomsae you perform and which bracket you are seeded into.

3 Events

Your first two events are included in the entry fee. Each event beyond the first two is $20. Options grey out automatically when your age or rank makes you ineligible.

Mandatory sparring gear All sparring competitors provide their own: white, red or blue helmet (matching the chest protector color); red-and-blue reversible chest protector; forearm guards; shin & instep guards; groin cup (worn inside for males, optional for females); and a mouth guard. Some equipment is sold at the venue.

4 Parent or guardian

The competitor is 17 or younger, so a parent or legal guardian must complete this section and accept the waiver on the athlete's behalf.

5 Liability waiver

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND PARENTAL CONSENT AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

In consideration of your acceptance of my participation or that of the minor child, I do hereby, for myself or the minor child, my heirs, executors and administrators waive, release, discharge, covenant not to sue, agree to indemnify and save and hold harmless any and all rights and claims for damages which I may have or may accrue to me against the 2026 U.S. Taekwondo Festival Tournament, Grand Master Se Yong Chang, Master Yong Seong Chang, United States Taekwondo Scholarship Foundation, APG Arena at Harford Community College, Chang's Martial Arts, Inc. d/b/a U.S. Taekwondo Academy and for this martial arts function, its organizing committee, and all members of this martial arts function, or their respective officers, committees, medical committee, agents, representatives, successors, sponsors, advertisers, volunteers, owners, and lesser of premises on which the martial arts function takes place, assignees and against any student for any and all damages which may be sustained by me or the minor child, in connection with me or entry in the above stated function, or which may arise out of traveling to, participating in, and returning from this martial arts function. I understand that all entry fees are nonrefundable.

I understand the nature of Taekwondo activities and believe that my experience and capabilities, or that of the minor child, to be qualified to participate in this martial arts function. I understand that Taekwondo activities involve risks and dangers of serious bodily injury, including permanent disability, paralysis and death. These risks and dangers may be caused by myself or the minor child's own actions, or inactions, and/or the actions or inactions of others participating in the martial arts function.

I understand that the competition rules are based on the rules of the USAT and WT. I agree to all the tournament competition rules and understand that any pictures taken of me in connection with the 2026 U.S. Taekwondo Festival Championships may be used by the organizer for publicity or promotion without compensation.

I have read this agreement, fully understand its terms, understand that I or the minor child have given up substantial rights by signing it and have signed it freely and without any inducement or assurance of any nature and intend it to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by the law and agree that if any portion of this agreement is held to be invalid that the balance, notwithstanding, shall continue in full force and effect.

6 Fees

Pre-registration rate — $130 for your first two events.

All applications and fees are non-refundable. Entry fees are not returned once your registration is accepted, including if you withdraw or cannot attend. Read the refund policy
